UMR ISPA's mission

The mission of UMR ISPA is to produce knowledge to improve the quantity and quality of plant production for agricultural and forestry ecosystems, while respecting the environment, in a context of global change and diffuse pollution. The work developed aims to monitor, understand and model plant growth at different scales, analyze and model the response of ecosystems to global change, and understand the transfer of major elements, trace elements, molecules, particles and contaminants, from the plant scale to the landscape scale. Our work focuses on both agricultural and forestry ecosystems; to achieve this, the unit relies on the coupling of biogeochemical and biophysical approaches and on modeling, integrating different scales of investigation.
